Hey, I decided for the heck of it that I'd write a poem for a mother's day essay contest.....here it is!!
A mother's job can be a joy Weather she has a girl, or a boy Proud looks upon her face Tis time to begin a new race
Babys grow up way too fast They can often be a task Children can sometimes give a scare Throw tantrums, fling food in her hair
Toddlers are most challenging Constantly moving, constantly learning Mine! and NO! are favorite sayings Selfish fighting and lots of spankings
Moms believe their child is best Even if he's not as cute or kind as the rest Strangers better be aware Mother's instict is sharp as a bear
Some say a mom's job is never done Especially if her hubby acts like a bum Piles of laundry and cleaning to do Children are not exempt from it too
Discipline is a major topic of debate Parents have to paddle to keep kids straight When kids run the house bad things happen Brats are born and troubles deepen
Nothing compares to happiness children bring Whether playing, crying, or using moms as a swing Being protective comes naturally Moms have never experienced such loyalty
Spotless houses are a thing of the past Replaced by toys, snotty noses, and dirt unsurpassed Mom's Clean clothes cannot be maintained Food, drool, and spit-up are all that remain
Once becomming a mother, she loses her identity "Johnny's mama" is now her new serenity Alone time for mothers is non-existent The key to great kids is to be consistent
No mom would ever trade her kids for anything The unconditional love kids give is amazing Moms are told to teach their kids right from wrong But kids are the ones who end up teaching us all along
What yall think? LOL
